Well, that didn’t take long at all.
Little more than a year after accidentally confirming their relationship via the 2015 White House Correspondents Dinner guest list and later putting their coupledom on full display at the state dinner in honor of Japan, singer Ciara and Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson have tied the knot.
The pair wed fairy tale-style at a castle in England — as you do — in front of 100 guests, including CiCi’s besties Jennifer Hudson and former Destiny’s Child Kelly Rowland. Further details about the ceremony are scant because the newly minted Wilsons took a page from the top-secret celebrity wedding handbook and confiscated guests’ cellphones. But we do know that the bride wore a custom Roberto Cavalli gown and the groom wore Giorgio Armani.
TMZ first broke news of the Wednesday wedding at Peckforton Castle, a 19th-century luxury hotel and events space in Cheshire about 30 miles from Manchester. The night before the nuptials Ciara, 30, and Wilson, 27, held a rehearsal dinner at the Titanic Hotel in Liverpool.

Wilson, a Richmond native, proposed to Ciara while on vacation in the Seychelles in March, less than a year after photos of the pair together began popping up online. Since then the A-list couple have been invited to the White House at least twice. They were the splashiest couple at the otherwise boilerplate Japanese state dinner last April and they were among the guests at 1600 Penn.’s private Prince concert last June.
This is the first marriage for Ciara, who was previously engaged to the rapper Future, with whom she shares a son. This is the second marriage for Wilson, who divorced his wife of two years, Ashton Meem, in 2014.
