Ray Lewis III’s siblings continue to share touching tributes to their late brother.
Lewis III, the son of Pro Football Hall of Famer Ray Lewis, died earlier this week at the age of 28.
The cause of death has not been revealed.
On her Instagram stories, Diaymon Lewis remembered Lewis III as the “quintessential brother.”
“brownie, i love with all my heart. you will always be my first love and truly are the definition of a quintessential brother,” she wrote.
“to the most genuine and talented person i know, go get your rest baby and i’m glad you’re at peace. fly high baby.”
In a second slide, she wrote, “i’m not okay.”
Lewis III was a star running back in high school at Lake Mary Prep in Florida, and played in college at Miami, Coastal Carolina and Virginia Union.
Lewis III’s death was first announced Thursday by his younger brother, Rashaan.
“Really can’t believe I’m even typing this but RIP big brother,” Rashaan wrote in on his Instagram stories.
“A true angel. I pray your at peace now because ik [I know] how much you was [really] hurtin. I don’t and won’t ever have the words man cuz this pain right here …. I love you I love you I love you.”
“Your niece gone miss you but she will hear about u over and over just watch over us all big bruh be our guardian I promise I’ll make you smile and proud.”
Lewis III appeared in seven games for the Wyoming Mustangs in the Champions Indoor Football league during the 2021-22 season.
Ray Lewis, who starred on the Ravens from 1996-2012, has not yet commented publicly on his son’s passing.
